In 2023, Peach’s Pantry continues its remarkable mission of providing food to hungry children and their families in the Sierra Vista area. It has received for the 5th consecutive year, the title of Best Local Charity.
Founded 10 years ago by Sarah Pacheco, the organization has now expanded its reach to serve 17 different schools in the region.
Despite challenges posed by the pandemic and economic uncertainties, Peach’s Pantry has remained resilient, continuing to deliver weekend food bags to over 400 children each week who are identified by school personnel as being food insecure. With the strong track record of five consecutive years receiving the Best Local Charity/Non-profit accolade, the non-profit’s dedication to its cause remains unwavering.
The community recognizes Peach’s Pantry as one of the top three non-profit organizations, alongside many other amazing entities working tirelessly for the greater good. Peach’s Pantry’s success is attributed to its volunteer-run nature and donation-based funding. The tireless efforts of selfless volunteers has been instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of the organization. Generous donors and community partners continue to provide unwavering support, making the program possible and touching the lives of those in need.
